Sense of Life

This body of work emanated from a desire to examine my relationship with the natural world, in particular my affinity with trees and woodland. Childhood photographs and staged images are combined with detailed landscape photographs to represent feelings of past and present, darkness and light, being empowered and being powerless.

With these images I want to draw attention to the often complex relationship between human beings and nature, considering landscape as a psychological space.
